Manufacturing Materials Logistics Operator – Bearing Assembly
ConfidentialJoin our production flow team Help us build precision bearing components while ensuring the right materials reach the right place at the right time. In this hybrid role, you will coordinate material movement across the facility and contribute to assembly, inspection, and crating of export pallets—meeting Amsted Rail procedures and customer standards. Responsibilities Follow all safety, ergonomics, and environmental expectations in the Amsted Rail Health & Safety program. Move and stage pallets, dies, tubs, baskets, and racks for production areas; support shipping and receiving. Complete daily checks and operate a ride-on forklift safely per company guidelines. Apply documented trailer loading procedures and required inspections. Scan inventory, maintain paper/ digital checklists, and communicate material status and moves. Wrap, crate, and label shipments, including finished export pallets. Verify parts to specifications with gauges/reports in line with the departmental quality plan. Inspect work for defects and escalate as needed. Enter production run information into company systems. Understand process sequences and finished-part dimensions. Keep your work area clean and organized per standard work. Report issues to supervisors, engineering, and maintenance, and assist in problem resolution. Take on other duties as assigned by leads, supervisors, or managers. Qualifications Successfully pass a pre-employment drug & background screening Capable of lifting, pushing, and pulling 10–50 lbs. Willing to wear employer-provided PPE per department requirements. Ability to stand and move throughout the department for the full shift. Previous industrial experience is beneficial. Work schedule Monday–Friday, 11:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. Compensation & benefits Employee Ownership: Annual stock awards equal to 10% of compensation. 401(k): Up to 4% dollar-for-dollar match.
