Manufacturing Engineering Expert - AI Model Evaluation
Alpheva AIGet paid to help build better AI. Alpheva AI, a Silicon Valley AI company building intelligence infrastructure for frontier AI, is looking for experienced manufacturing engineers and manufacturing professionals to participate in paid, project-based work that helps train and evaluate the next generation of AI systems. You’ll work remotely and asynchronously on projects that fit around your existing schedule. Your manufacturing expertise becomes the signal that helps AI systems learn what accurate, practical, efficient, and professionally sound manufacturing engineering actually looks like. To be considered, apply directly through: https://alpheva.ai/experts/ What you'll do Depending on the project, you may: Analyze: Evaluate manufacturing processes, production systems, engineering problems, and technical scenarios. Evaluate: Review AI-generated manufacturing solutions, process plans, calculations, and recommendations. Validate: Determine whether AI-generated outputs are technically correct, practical, and consistent with manufacturing principles. Review: Assess process designs, production methods, tooling, quality systems, specifications, and manufacturing documentation. Reason: Solve realistic manufacturing engineering problems and explain how an experienced professional would approach them. Compare: Evaluate multiple AI-generated solutions and identify meaningful differences in accuracy, feasibility, efficiency, cost, and engineering judgment. Create evaluations: Develop challenging manufacturing engineering tasks and criteria for measuring AI performance. Provide expert judgment: Identify technical errors, unrealistic assumptions, process limitations, quality concerns, and potential manufacturing risks. Projects may involve manufacturing processes, production planning, process engineering, CNC machining, tooling, automation, quality control, lean manufacturing, materials, assembly, supply chain, industrial engineering, additive manufacturing, and other areas depending on your expertise. Who we're looking for We're looking for experienced manufacturing professionals , not necessarily AI specialists. You may have experience as a: Manufacturing Engineer Manufacturing Process Engineer Production Engineer Industrial Engineer Process Engineer Quality Engineer Manufacturing Manager Production Manager CNC / Machining Engineer Automation Engineer Tooling Engineer Operations Engineer Supply Chain or Manufacturing Specialist Manufacturing Consultant Other specialized manufacturing professional You should have: Professional experience in manufacturing engineering or a related field Strong engineering and analytical skills Practical understanding of manufacturing processes Ability to evaluate technical solutions critically Strong attention to detail Ability to identify process issues, inefficiencies, and technical risks Strong problem-solving and engineering judgment Ability to clearly explain your reasoning Practical understanding of real-world manufacturing environments You do not need prior experience working in AI. What matters most is that you have genuine manufacturing expertise and can apply sound professional judgment. What you might work on You might be asked to: Review an AI-generated manufacturing process and identify issues. Evaluate whether a proposed production process is technically and economically feasible. Assess manufacturing calculations and assumptions. Compare two AI-generated process plans and determine which is better. Identify potential quality, reliability, or production risks. Evaluate tooling, machining, assembly, or automation approaches. Review AI-generated manufacturing documentation or technical specifications. Analyze a realistic production problem and explain your recommended solution. Evaluate process optimization or efficiency improvements. Create challenging manufacturing engineering problems that can be used to evaluate AI systems. The goal is not simply to determine whether an answer sounds te…
