Job Summary Supports the director of the Chaplin School's Vidal-Duart Wine Studies Program with overall management of wine studies related programming, including internal and external partner events, student-related projects, and classes and activities of the Program. The Wine Studies Program Manager will oversee the management of curricular objectives, ensuring alignment with program objectives and organizational goals. This role includes strategic planning and inventory management. The incumbent will also oversee and interact closely with the department team members including but not limited to graduate assistants (GA) and interns. Manages the scheduling and implementation of new and ongoing academic/student programs for the Vidal-Duart Wine Studies Program. Managing GA and interns and assisting them in the set-up of wine class requirements and events such as glassware, wine, food and other materials. Liaising with guest speakers where appropriate. Collaborating with other faculty instructors on special initiatives such as but not limited to student winemaking projects. Assists with all logistical matters related to public events of Vidal-Duart Wine Studies Program at the Chaplin School and other off-campus locations, including serving as a liaison between event speakers, vendors, and attendees to address inquiries and resolve any upcoming issues. Manages pre- and post-event activities such as gathering feedback with surveys, compiling evaluations, and preparing reports for future planning and improvement of events. Managing and assisting team with setup and cleanup as necessary. Supports the director in establishing and managing relationships with program partners, sponsors, and industry professionals. Serves as liaison to the Wine Guild advisor and the Vidal Duart Wine Studies Program. Manages the design and creation of content for marketing materials for Program events, working with the marketing department to execute materials, provide content for social media and online platforms, and track progress. Submits alcohol requests. Ensures compliance to organizational policies and legal regulations while securing the necessary approvals for events and purchases. Oversees the wine studies team members (GA and interns) who help to maintain the Chip Cassidy Library, other wine program resources, and Vidal-Duart promotional items, including ensuring the department team keep the areas organized and inventories up to date. Supports the Director of the Wine Studies Program with the planning, arrangements, and communications for scheduled educational trips offered by the Program. Collaborates with other internal Chaplin School departments to share information and execute projects. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in an appropriate specialization and four (4) years of related experience, or Master's degree in an appropriate specialization and two (2) years related experience.
