Summary: Mission Technologies, a division of Huntington Ingalls Industries (HII) is seeking an experienced Manager of Trade Compliance to support our operational areas as a business partner and subject matter expert. The position is responsible for leading initiatives to strengthen our division-wide trade compliance program, integrating expertise and best practices from industry and across HII. This role reports directly to the Vice President of Contracts, Pricing, and Procurement for the Mission Technologies Division (MT) and has a matrix reporting relationship to the Corporate Director of Enterprise Trade Compliance. Position will require regular travel to locations across the US with some international travel possible. The Manager of Trade Compliance will provide leadership and direction to deliver comprehensive internal export and import control services to internal customers ensuring compliance with US and foreign regulations in the conduct of international marketing, sales, supply chain and other business activities. This is a high visibility position that requires regular interaction with executive management at the division and corporate levels. The successful candidate must be a proactive team player, work independently, and possess excellent program management, problem solving, communication, and organizational skills. In addition, the successful candidate must be able to deal effectively with competing priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment. The position requires a strong export and import control technical background with experience providing compliance support as a service to internal business operations customers. Prior experience in a program or business management role is highly desired but not required.
