Strengthen the factories, suppliers, skilled trades, and infrastructure the country needs to win. Role scope Own recruiting end to end. This is the majority of the role. Run every search from hiring manager intake to signed offer: sourcing strategy, outreach, screening, interview coordination, offer construction, and close. Find the people who aren't looking. Build outbound pipelines for hard technical and commercial searches, including site acquisition, utility development, electrical and mechanical engineering, and manufacturing operations. Build the hiring machine. Stand up our applicant tracking system, scorecards, and structured interview loops so every hiring manager runs the same fast, rigorous process. Manage search firms where we use them, and steadily reduce how much we need them. Run People operations. Own onboarding, taking the steps necessary to make new employees successful. Own employment compliance, benefits administration, and employee relations. Partner with Finance on payroll, headcount planning, and compensation. Champion the culture in Houston. Be the on-the-ground People leader in our headquarters. Shape the onboarding, rituals, and day-to-day experience that make it a place people want to be. Work directly with leadership. Report to the CFO and partner with the founders on hiring plans, org design, and compensation. What we're looking for Treat this list as a guide. Great people rarely check every box, so if you see yourself in most of it, apply and tell us what you would bring to the role. You live in Houston or will relocate before your start date. This role is on-site. You have 5+ years in recruiting or a blended recruiting and HR role, including ownership of full-cycle searches for technical and senior hires. You have sourced and closed passive candidates, and you can walk us through the pipelines you built to do it. You know US employment compliance well, including FLSA classification and multi-state requirements. You have built a hiring process or People function from scratch and want to do it again. You are a professional face for Mavria, inside and outside the company. You are often a candidate's first conversation with us, and a trusted, discreet resource for our team.
