The Shipping Manager will oversee daily shipping and warehouse operations to ensure products are inspected, packed, loaded, and shipped accurately and on time. This position requires a hands-on leader who can effectively manage employees, maintain inventory accuracy, improve processes, and ensure a safe and productive work environment. Job Responsibilities Direct daily inspection, packing, loading, and shipping operations to ensure complete and on-time customer deliveries. Communicate shipping delays, load issues, or other concerns to the Production Manager. Monitor and manage inspection, packing, loading, labor hours, and departmental productivity within approved budgets. Oversee finished goods inventory and returned products, ensuring products are properly inspected, documented, stored, and accurately reflected in inventory. Maintain accurate inventory records and communicate necessary information to the Traffic Manager and other appropriate departments. Interview, select, train, coach, and develop shipping department employees. Monitor employee productivity and ensure performance meets or exceeds established standards. Foster positive working relationships and maintain a productive, team-oriented work environment. Train employees on safe work practices, proper material handling, and housekeeping procedures. Establish and enforce safety, quality, productivity, and attendance expectations. Identify and recommend improvements to shipping methods, equipment, material handling, workflow, and warehouse layout. Complete required administrative reports accurately and on time. Communicate and enforce company policies related to attendance, performance, safety, discipline, and waste reduction. Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable workplace and safety regulations. Perform additional duties and projects as assigned by management. Qualifications & Requirements Minimum of 3 years of experience in shipping, warehouse, logistics, or manufacturing operations. Previous supervisory or management experience strongly preferred. Strong leadership and employee-management skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. Experience with inventory control, shipping documentation, and warehouse operations preferred. Strong focus on safety, productivity, accuracy, and on-time delivery. Hands-on leadership style with the ability to work effectively with production and operations teams.
