EIS legacy LLCJob Description: Production Manager – CNC Manufacturing SIS, an EIS company | Canton, GA Compensation: $100,000- $120,000 plus benefits and bonus Lead manufacturing performance. Develop the team. Deliver results. SIS is looking for a Production Manager with direct experience leading manufacturing operations, preferably in CNC machining or precision component manufacturing. This role owns daily production execution across shifts, including staffing, machine utilization, schedule attainment, quality, and employee performance. You’ll lead supervisors and production teams, coordinate with technical and support departments, and turn production priorities into clear plans and measurable results. Direct manufacturing machine shop leadership experience is required. Warehouse, distribution, fulfillment, or logistics management experience alone does not meet the requirements of this position. Our work ranges from prototypes to production runs, with components used in electrical insulation, power generation equipment, medical imaging systems, and other demanding applications. What you’ll do Lead manufacturing operations across shifts, aligning staffing, equipment capacity, and daily priorities with the production schedule. Own production results, including output, schedule attainment, labor efficiency, downtime, scrap, and rework. Develop supervisors and Production Leads, setting clear expectations and holding leaders accountable for team performance. Partner with Scheduling, Engineering, Quality, and Maintenance to resolve constraints involving setups, cycle times, tooling, equipment reliability, and process quality. Build workforce capability through training, skill development, and effective use of operators, Setup Specialists, and Operations Specialists. Maintain a visible presence on the manufacturing floor, reinforce safety standards, and drive practical improvements that increase throughput and process consistency. What you’ll bring Demonstrated success managing manufacturing production, with direct responsibility for employees, production equipment, and operational results. Experience in CNC machining, precision manufacturing, or a comparable environment where products are made through controlled production processes. A practical understanding of machine capacity, setups and changeovers, cycle times, work in process, quality requirements, and production bottlenecks. Experience leading supervisors or team leaders, developing their capabilities, and addressing performance issues consistently. The ability to use production data to identify problems, establish priorities, and verify that improvements deliver results. Strong communication and cross-functional problem-solving skills, with the ability to balance immediate delivery needs and longer-term improvements. CNC milling, turning, or routing experience is strongly preferred. Experience with plastics or composites is helpful; leadership experience in comparable manufacturing environments is welcome.
