The Department of Planning, Housing and Infrastructure (DPHI) is seeking expressions of interest from motivated and experienced procurement leaders to act in the role of Manager, Procurement Policy & Governance for a 12-month period.

 

As the Manager, Procurement Policy & Governance, you will lead a high-performing team responsible for the development, implementation and continuous improvement of procurement policy, governance frameworks, and category management practices. You will work closely with the Chief Procurement Officer to influence strategic direction, strengthen compliance with the NSW Government Procurement Framework, and enhance the department’s overall procurement capability and performance.

 

This role provides exposure to complex, high-value procurement activity across both Construction and Goods & Services, offering a unique opportunity to lead and influence outcomes at scale.

 

We are looking for someone who:

  • Demonstrates strong leadership, strategic thinking and the ability to drive cultural and process improvement.
  • Has deep knowledge of NSW Government procurement frameworks, governance, category management and risk management.
  • Excels at building relationships, influencing senior stakeholders and providing trusted expert advice.
  • Can manage change, uplift capability, and foster consistent and high-quality procurement practices.
  • Is proactive, collaborative and committed to delivering customer-focused, value-for-money outcomes.
