Manager ITP Forensics US At PMI U.S., we are building a modern nicotine business—focused on helping make a future without cigarettes a reality in America. As the U.S. businesses of Philip Morris International, we are investing in new products, science, and capabilities to provide the approximately 25 million legal‑age adults who still smoke with better alternatives. Our approach is rooted in innovation, responsible marketing, and a growing U.S. footprint that spans manufacturing, technology, and commercial operations across the country. That creates real opportunity. You’ll have the space to take ownership, develop new ideas, and contribute to work that is shaping our business and the category. We’re looking for people who are curious, collaborative, and motivated by progress—because the scale of what we’re building creates room to grow in different directions. About the Role As part of PMI’s Illicit Trade Prevention (ITP) team, the Manager ITP Forensics US serves as the subject matter expert for tobacco and smoke-free product (SFP) forensics, including oral nicotine products. This role supports intellectual property protection efforts through product authentication, forensic analysis, investigations, intelligence generation, litigation support, and collaboration with law enforcement and industry partners. The position plays a critical role in protecting PMI’s brands, products, consumers, and supply chain from illicit trade activities. Your Day-to-Day Lead and execute product authentication activities to meet legal and regulatory requirements, on behalf of an intellectual property rights holder. Manage and perform forensic analyses of PMI products, focusing primarily on oral nicotine products, but also combustible tobacco products and smoke-free products, sourced from seizures, market surveys, investigations, test purchases, consumer complaints, and other channels. Identify illicit products, hence generating actionable intelligence to support investigations, law enforcement activities, and litigation. Conduct and coordinate onsite inspections of illicit manufacturing facilities (when applicable) and illicit products detentions, and support law enforcement agencies in anti-illicit trade efforts. Support litigation processes by providing forensic expertise, evidence analysis, and expert testimonies when required. Coordinate and support local aspects related to product security workstreams, identify vulnerabilities, monitor execution, and provide recommendations to improve product authentication and protection strategies. Collaborate with suppliers and cross-functional stakeholders to support supply chain security initiatives, incl. Supplier Liaison Program. Provide forensic expertise across the lifecycle of smoke-free products. Support anti-diversion programs (PMI-10C) and respond to requests from regulatory bodies, law enforcement agencies, and internal stakeholders. Coordinate and deliver technical training and provide assistance to law enforcement authorities to strengthen public-private partnerships and anti-illicit trade capabilities. Collaborate with industry experts, trade associations, and brand protection organizations to enhance forensic methodologies and intelligence-sharing efforts. Contribute to the maintenance and continuous improvement of forensic systems, databases, and investigation tools.
