Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Manager of Inventory Control to lead our inventory management initiatives and optimize supply chain operations. In this pivotal role, you will oversee warehouse distribution processes, implement process improvements, and utilize data analytics to ensure accurate inventory levels. Your expertise in warehouse management systems, procurement, and logistics will drive efficiency, reduce costs, and support our company's growth objectives. The ideal candidate is proactive, analytical, and excels in cross-functional communication to coordinate with suppliers, warehouse teams, and other stakeholders. Duties Lead the development and execution of inventory control strategies aligned with overall supply chain goals. Oversee warehouse operations including stocking, materials handling, shipping & receiving, and order fulfillment to ensure seamless flow of goods. Utilize data mining, SQL queries, and data visualization tools like Power BI and Tableau to analyze inventory trends and identify opportunities for process improvement. Conduct root cause analysis on inventory discrepancies and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence. Manage warehouse management system (WMS) and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems such as AS400 or similar platforms for accurate data collection and reporting. Collaborate with procurement teams on sourcing, pricing negotiations, and supplier management to optimize purchasing decisions. Monitor logistics inventory management metrics to enhance demand planning, production scheduling, and stock replenishment accuracy. Qualifications Proven experience in warehouse distribution, inventory management software, and supply chain analytics. Strong technical proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., AS400), SQL, Excel data analysis, Power BI, Tableau, and other data visualization tools. Demonstrated ability in process improvement initiatives using data analytics techniques such as root cause analysis and demand planning. Excellent negotiation skills with suppliers and cross-functional teams to achieve optimal pricing and sourcing outcomes. Hands-on experience with warehouse operations including forklift operation (certification preferred), materials handling, shipping & receiving. Solid understanding of procurement processes, logistics management, materials management, and production planning. Strong analytical skills with a focus on financial modeling, cost analysis, and supply chain optimization. Effective communicator capable of collaborating across departments to ensure inventory accuracy and operational efficiency.
