Summary The Inventory Manager leads inventory control operations, directs a team and owns inventory accuracy, aged inventory reduction, and inventory-related financial results. This role sets regional inventory processes and standards and partners with Operations, Purchasing, Finance, Customer Service, and Administration. Essential Functions Lead SAP training and competency standards for warehouse and inventory teams Own aged inventory targets for branches and the region, and drive reduction plans with branch leadership Oversee and approve returns to vendors and RTV purchase orders, up to established authority limit Partner with Finance to resolve claim invoice, receiving, quantity, and cost discrepancies, and lead root-cause prevention. Serve as the regional escalation point for warehouse and purchasing issues. Maintain stock lists/settings. Ensure cost accuracy and data integrity for material setup and system transfers. Set aged-material liquidation strategy and pricing guidelines for branch-level sales. Analyze regional inventory reports (aged inventory, cycle count progress, not-picked orders) and present findings and recommendations to leadership. Partner with Purchasing to set and maintain Purchasing Cockpit data standards. Establish, audit, and enforce warehouse and purchasing best-practice procedures. Design and manage the regional cycle count program, including frequency and variance thresholds. Lead resolution of system inventory discrepancies, directing team members on corrections. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve warehouse efficiency, accuracy, and cost. Other duties as assigned Education & Experience Required Associates / 2 year Technical School 4+ years of experience in inventory control or warehouse operations Preferred 2+ years supervisory experience SAP Experience Bilingual experience preferred, but not required (English/Spanish) Skills & Competencies Ability to lead, develop, and hold a team accountable for results Ability to analyze inventory data and present recommendations to leadership.
