The Store Manager in Training (MIT) position is designed for employees who already demonstrate strong leadership qualities and are ready to further develop their management skills and knowledge of the business. Working closely with the Store Manager(s), the MIT will build on their leadership experience while gaining hands-on exposure to team development, customer service, store and yard operations, sales, inventory management, merchandising, and overall store performance. Work with Store Manager(s) to support store performance and an excellent customer experience. Develop knowledge of store and yard operations, merchandising, inventory, ordering, and cycle counts. Assist with interviewing, training, coaching, and employee development. Build strong relationships with retail, professional, and commercial customers. Lead by example in customer service, product knowledge, problem-solving, and sales. Identify opportunities to grow sales and strengthen relationships within the local community. Follow and support company policies, procedures, and health and safety requirements.
