Job Description

The Project Manager is a key, multidisciplinary role that enables the accurate development, execution, and delivery of projects driven by the Entertainment Group in collaboration with other business units. The Project Manager reports to the Entertainment, Sr. Manager, Compliance and Project Management Office.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end project lifecycle management (initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and closeout).
  • Define project scope, goals, timelines, and success metrics in collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Manage project plans, risks, dependencies, and change control processes.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with business objectives.
  • Partner across NBCUniversal and Telemundo teams to drive alignment and accountability.
  • Facilitate large, complex cross-functional meetings with clear agendas, outcomes, and follow-ups.
  • Investigate, troubleshoot and problem solve, proposing solutions for resource, workflow, scheduling and budgetary concerns.
  • Balance data, media trends, and competitive insights to inform daily activities and broad strategic initiatives.
  • Apply project management best practices (Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid) based on project needs.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards, trackers, and reporting tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI, AirTable).
  • Create cohesive and compelling pitches and presentations.
  • Operate effectively in a fast-paced, evolving environment with shifting priorities.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

  • Curious and proactive about emerging technologies, including AI, with an interest in applying them to improve workflows and efficiency.
  • Proven ability to influence and build relationships across all levels of the organization (junior to executive level).
  • Ability to clearly communicate risks, considerations, and recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills (English & Spanish).

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Film/TV production, Operations, Engineering, or related field.
  • Operational experience in large scale media environment (Broadcast, TV, News and information, Live Entertainment); or an equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
  • A minimum of three years of project management experience.
  • Must be bilingual in English and Spanish, with excellence writing and grammar.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours including early mornings, late and/or last-minute scheduling changes in a 24/7 production work environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point, Visio, MS Project, and other related tools.
  • PMP Certification is a must.
  • Preferred: Experience with agile methodologies and tools.
  • Preferred: LEAN/CAP training and experience.
  • Preferred: Six Sigma Green and/or Black Belt Certification.
