Manager, Business Analytics - mophie
ZaggManager, Business Analytics – mophie Location: Midvale, UT, 84047 mophie competes for shelf space in some of the most crowded retail and carrier channels in consumer electronics, and every SKU call — what launches, what gets cut, what gets repriced — shows up directly in the P&L. As ZAGG's Manager, Business Analytics – mophie, you'll own the analysis behind those calls, sitting between Finance and Product Management to tell us which products are actually making money and what to do about it. We're hiring someone who can build the model and defend the recommendation in the room: fluent in margin, pricing, and channel economics, and comfortable enough in a product review to push back on the plan. This isn't a reporting role. You'll dig into why a product is underperforming, size the fix, and bring a specific recommendation, not just the numbers behind it. What You Will Do Portfolio and SKU Analysis Own SKU-level cost and margin. Build and maintain our cost structure, BOM, landed cost, freight, duties and tariffs, channel allowances, returns, royalties, and turn it into contribution margin by SKU, channel, and region. Find underperforming products and diagnose why: temporary market disruption or a structural problem. Partner with Product and Finance leadership to decide which SKUs to keep, fix, or kill. Weigh in tariffs, currency, competitive dynamics, and channel performance when they change the picture. Modeling and Cost Levers Build the business case for product decisions: new products, pricing, cost-downs, inventory buys and MOQs, end-of-life, tariff or currency shifts, so we make the call knowing what it costs. Recommend which levers, pricing, cost, mix, actually move the number, and size the move. Close the loop on development programs: what worked, what didn't, and the guardrails (tooling spend as percent of program, target unit cost) the next one should follow. Forecasting and Reporting Build revenue, unit, and margin forecasts for the portfolio, run monthly variance against plan, and keep the numbers in sync with FP&A and S&OP. Make our reporting trustworthy. Audit Power BI and ERP reporting, reconcile it to finance actuals, fix what's broken, and build dashboards the team actually uses. Insights and Action Keep a scorecard tied to team milestones and bonus metrics, flag risk early, and bring the call on what to do about it. Present it straight to senior leadership, no translation layer needed.
