Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and proactive Manager to lead our retail team and oversee daily store operations. This role is vital in driving sales, ensuring exceptional customer service, managing inventory, and fostering a positive team environment. As a Manager, you will be responsible for maintaining operational excellence, motivating staff, and implementing strategies to achieve business goals in a fast-paced retail setting. Duties Lead and supervise retail staff, including hiring, training, coaching, and evaluating team members to ensure high performance and excellent customer service. Oversee daily store operations such as cash handling, POS system management, inventory control, and merchandising to optimize sales and operational efficiency. Manage employee scheduling, shift management, and ensure adequate coverage during peak hours to maintain smooth store functions. Implement sales strategies by analyzing retail math data, pricing policies, and promotional activities to meet or exceed sales targets. Conduct regular inventory management tasks including stock replenishment, stock rotation, and inventory audits to minimize shrinkage. Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly with professionalism to enhance customer satisfaction. Coordinate purchasing activities and manage relationships with suppliers to ensure product availability and optimal pricing. Maintain compliance with company policies and safety standards while fostering a positive team environment through effective managerial communication. Utilize POS systems efficiently for transactions, reporting, and record keeping related to payroll, bookkeeping, and sales data. Support training & development initiatives for staff to improve product knowledge, sales techniques, and operational skills. Experience Proven management experience within the retail industry or similar customer-focused environment with supervisory responsibilities. Demonstrated proficiency in retail sales management, inventory management, POS systems, and cash handling procedures. Strong negotiation skills with experience in purchasing negotiations and vendor relations. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced setting. Experience in recruiting, interviewing candidates, employee orientation, and training new staff members. Bilingual or multilingual abilities are preferred to serve diverse customer bases effectively. Knowledge of retail math including pricing strategies, budgeting practices, and basic financial analysis is essential. Familiarity with grocery store or similar retail environments is a plus; experience with grocery store product knowledge is advantageous.
