Duties Lead and supervise all store activities, including sales, customer service, inventory control, and merchandising to ensure operational excellence. Recruit, interview, train, and develop team members to foster a motivated and skilled workforce. Manage employee schedules, payroll processing, and shift assignments to optimize store coverage. Oversee inventory management, including purchasing, stock replenishment, pricing strategies, and shrink reduction initiatives. Utilize POS (Point of Sale) systems for sales transactions, cash handling, and sales reporting to ensure accuracy and efficiency. Implement marketing strategies and promotional campaigns to increase foot traffic and sales performance. Maintain compliance with company policies, health & safety regulations, and store standards through regular supervision and communication. Qualifications Proven management experience in retail or grocery store environments with supervising responsibilities. Strong skills in negotiation, employee orientation, interviewing, recruiting, and training & development. Multilingual or bilingual abilities are highly desirable to serve diverse customer bases effectively. Proficiency in retail math, bookkeeping, payroll processing, inventory management, merchandising, and POS systems. Excellent communication skills with the ability to lead teams confidently and foster a positive work environment. Demonstrated organizational skills with experience in budgeting, pricing strategies, stock control, and marketing initiatives. Previous assistant manager or supervisory experience in retail sales is preferred. Ability to handle cash handling procedures accurately while maintaining high levels of customer service. Strong leadership qualities with a focus on time management, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
