Position Summary The Maintenance Technician is a temporary position and is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing warehouse equipment and facility systems to support safe and efficient operations. This position focuses on conveyor systems, material handling equipment, minor electrical repairs, preventive maintenance activities, and general facility upkeep. The technician plays a key role in minimizing downtime and ensuring equipment is operating safely and effectively. Pay Range: $36.00 - $36.00 per hour Pay Scale: Not applicable Essential Job Responsibilities Perform preventive maintenance and inspections on conveyor systems, motors, rollers, belts, and related material handling equipment. Troubleshoot and repair mechanical issues on conveyors and warehouse equipment. Conduct minor electrical troubleshooting and repairs, including sensors, switches, photo eyes, control panels, and motors. Respond to equipment breakdowns and emergency maintenance requests in a timely manner. Inspect equipment for safety concerns and report or correct deficiencies. Replace worn or damaged components such as bearings, belts, chains, rollers, and motors. Maintain accurate maintenance records, work orders, and inspection logs. Support Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures during maintenance activities. Assist with facility maintenance tasks, including lighting, racking repairs, dock equipment, and building systems. Work closely with operations teams to minimize disruptions and maximize equipment uptime. Maintain a clean and organized work area while following all company safety policies and procedures. Required Qualifications High school diploma or GED required. 2+ years of maintenance experience in a warehouse, distribution center, manufacturing, or industrial environment preferred. Knowledge of conveyor systems and material handling equipment. Basic understanding of electrical systems, motors, sensors, and control circuits. Ability to read equipment manuals, schematics, and technical documents. Familiarity with preventive maintenance programs. Experience using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Preferred Qualifications Industrial maintenance certification or technical school training. Experience with PLC troubleshooting (basic level). Forklift or aerial lift certification. OSHA safety training and Lockout/Tagout experience. Physical Requirements Frequently lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Ability to climb ladders, work from elevated platforms, and access conveyor systems. Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and reach throughout the workday. Work in a warehouse environment with varying temperatures and noise levels. Working Conditions Fast-paced warehouse and distribution environment. Exposure to moving mechanical equipment and powered industrial vehicles. May require occasional overtime, weekends 24/7 on-call support based on business needs.
