JOB SUMMARY The Maintenance Planner is responsible for evaluating incoming maintenance requests, determining job scope and priority, developing detailed work orders and instructions, and ensuring all maintenance activities are following the needs of the business. This position will manage the flow of work within the maintenance department and serve as the bridge between maintenance, production, and procurement. The planner ensures the maintenance department is well-organized, timely, and aligned with operational priorities. Along with being the keeper of the CMMS system and it processes you will also help with the budget, parts, outside services and education, and planned work overcite for the maintenance department. Requirements: KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Plans, schedules and coordinates preventive, corrective maintenance work. Managing the progress of approved work requests throughout planned work cycle. Gathering and analyzing job requirements. Clarify issues with requesters and gather technical input as needed. Determining equipment, materials, and labor needed to complete the work. Responsible for the development and management of parts and inventory used for planned work, PMs, spare parts and critical spare parts needed to support the business needs. Schedules the PMs distribution and ensures there are materials available to complete the PM on or before the due date. Develops work, lists, and spreadsheets Develop and implement, with approval, work aids to streamline the maintenance process. Run reports daily, weekly, and monthly, and send to desired groups Update the budget and spend tracking spreadsheet to assist with cost tracking. Ensure all approved work has all the necessary components: Work orders with clear instructions, Reference diagrams, manuals, or technical notes, Parts and materials list and location, Safety checklists or permits Ensures the CMMS system and all data files are current Maintain accurate maintenance history and asset data in the CMMS Review asset log entries and histories for accuracy As necessary, review and modify asset associated parts and part consumption history Maintain alignment system codes with the current corporate standards Maintain and back up all “program” data per corporate standards Perform data mining to uncover events that warrant an investigation and head up the RCFA team to come to a resolution to the issue Preventive Maintenance (PM) Development and Coordinati…
