Prairie Farms DairyMaintenance Operations Coordinator (Non-union / Hourly) Department : Plant / Maintenance Operations Reports to: Maintenance Manager Location: Somerset, KY FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Pay Range: $25-$28 per hour Benefits : Medical, Dental, Vision, STD, Thrift, Life Insurance Shift (if applicable): Monday – Friday ; 11:00AM - 7:00PM Position Overview The Maintenance Operations Coordinator shall be responsible, but not limited to, the following: providing administrative, planning, procurement, inventory, and documentation support for the maintenance function for Prairie Farms Dairy – Somerset production facility. This position is responsible for coordinating and maintaining the facility's work-order system; monitoring preventive maintenance activities and repair schedules; procuring maintenance parts, materials, and supplies; maintaining accurate parts inventory records; and supporting compliance with company safety, sanitation, food-safety, and maintenance procedures. The position works closely with Maintenance, Production, Sanitation, Quality/Food Safety, Purchasing, and other facility personnel to help ensure that production and support equipment is maintained in a timely, safe, sanitary, and documented manner. This is an hourly, non-supervisory position. The position does not have direct reports and does not have authority to hire, terminate, discipline, or formally direct the work of maintenance employees. Key Responsibilities Maintain accurate records and documentation in accordance with company policies and applicable requirements. Participate in audits, inspections, inventory activities, and other maintenance-related administrative activities as assigned. Assist with development and maintenance of standardized maintenance documentation, equipment records, parts lists, and procedures. Perform other duties of a similar nature and level as assigned by the Maintenance Manager/Supervisor. All other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Prior experience in maintenance administration, maintenance coordination, purchasing, inventory control, manufacturing, food processing, warehousing, or a related field preferred. Basic understanding of mechanical, electrical, refrigeration, processing, packaging, or other industrial maintenance concepts preferred. Experience with a CMMS, ERP, inventory-management, purchasing, or work-order system preferred. Basic computer proficiency, including email, spreadsheets, and database or maintenance-management systems. Ability to maintain accurate records and follow established procedures. Ability to communicate effectively with maintenance personnel, production personnel, vendors, and management. Ability to work in a manufacturing/food-processing environment and follow applicable safety and sanitation requirements. Preferred Qualifications Experience in a dairy, food-processing, beverage, or other regulated food-manufacturing environment. Experience with preventive maintenance programs. Experience managing maintenance parts or MRO inventory. Experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS). Familiarity with pumps, motors, valves, conveyors, refrigeration systems, boilers/utilities, processing equipment, packaging equipment, or clean-in-place (CIP) systems. Familiarity with food-safety and sanitation requirements applicable to dairy or food-processing facilities. Required Skills/Abilities: Strong organizational and recordkeeping skills. Attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to prioritize multiple requests and changing maintenance needs. Ability to identify overdue work, missing information, inventory shortages, and procurement issues. Ability to work effectively with employees across multiple departments. Ability to maintain accurate electronic and written records. Ability to understand and follow written procedures, manufacturer instructions, safety requirements, and company policies.
