The OpportunityThe Buyer is responsible for maintaining proper inventory of spare parts required to keep the production line running. This includes timely purchasing, accurate recording of spare parts usage and compliance with all MLF site and corporate standard operating procedures and policies. The Buyer is a key contributor to the continuous improvements of critical plant performance metrics in the areas of maintenance, productions, and finance.Any MLF team member interested in being considered for this role are encouraged to apply online by September 22. Applications received beyond that date are not guaranteed consideration.Snapshot Of a Day-in-the-LifeImplements and manages purchasing procedures and processes to ensure the plant receives the right materials in the right quantity at the right timeExecutes purchasing transactions efficiently and consistently with OC sourcing policies, standards, operating procedures, and financial controls consistent with sourcing policies and financial controlsMaintain accurate purchasing data in SAP, ensure data quality and integrity of vendor and material dataWork with suppliers, commodity leaders, and plant leadership to ensure supply quality expectations are metManage local inventory consignment agreements through inventory reconciliationResolve all open accounts payable issues as they occurMaintains proper inventory of spare parts (including mix and quantity) required to keep production line running by timely purchasing and accurate recording of spare parts usageManages MRP list on a daily basisManages purchasing process (including procurement card purchases) for all purchases within the plant within the guidance per OC policies and regulations.
