We are currently seeking an experienced and hands-on Maintenance & Service Supervisor to oversee our fleet maintenance operations and lead our service team in maintaining the highest standards of equipment reliability and uptime. Position Summary The Maintenance & Service Supervisor will be responsible for supervising the daily maintenance operations of the company's truck and trailer fleet. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of truck and trailer components, preventive maintenance programs, repair scheduling, vendor coordination, and fleet service management. The successful candidate must have experience managing a team of at least 5 employees and possess working knowledge of MIR-RT Fleet Maintenance Software or similar fleet management systems. This role requires a proactive leader who can effectively coordinate repairs, monitor maintenance schedules, control costs, and ensure all equipment remains safe, compliant, and operational. Key ResponsibilitiesFleet Maintenance Management Supervise and coordinate daily maintenance and repair operations for trucks, trailers, and fleet equipment. Ensure preventive maintenance schedules are followed and completed on time. Monitor equipment performance and identify potential mechanical issues before they become major failures. Schedule repairs, inspections, and maintenance activities to minimize downtime. Ensure all fleet assets are maintained according to company, manufacturer, and regulatory standards. Coordinate breakdown assistance and emergency repair situations. Service Team Leadership Lead, supervise, and mentor a team of at least 5 maintenance and service personnel. Assign daily work orders and monitor team productivity. Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing coaching and development. Maintain a positive and accountable work environment. Ensure adherence to company safety policies and shop procedures. Truck & Trailer Parts Management Utilize strong knowledge of truck and trailer components to support maintenance operations. Assist in diagnosing mechanical issues and recommending repair solutions. Coordinate with vendors and suppliers for parts procurement. Monitor inventory levels of critical truck and trailer parts. Ensure proper tracking and documentation of parts usage. Work closely with the Parts Department to maintain adequate inventory levels. MIR Software & Maintenance Tracking Utilize MIR-RT Fleet Maintenance Software to track service schedules, repair history, work orders, and maintenance costs. Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation within the system. Generate service, maintenance, and cost analysis reports. Monitor recurring repair trends and recommend corrective actions. Ensure all maintenance activities are properly documented for compliance purposes. Vendor & Service Provider Coordination Develop and maintain strong relationships with repair facilities, suppliers, and maintenance vendors. Obtain repair estimates and negotiate service costs where appropriate. Monitor vendor performance and service quality. Coordinate warranty claims and equipment servicing. Compliance & Safety Ensure fleet maintenance activities meet MTO, DOT, CVOR, and company compliance standards. Maintain accurate maintenance files and inspection records. Support audits and inspections conducted by regulatory agencies. Promote a strong safety culture within the maintenance department. Ensure all team members follow workplace safety procedures. Reporting & Operational Support Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance reports. Monitor maintenance costs, downtime, and fleet performance metrics.
