Mail Order Assistant

Overview We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Mail Order Assistant to join our dynamic warehouse team. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth processing, packaging, and shipping of customer orders. As a key player in our distribution operations, you will work with heavy equipment, manage order fulfillment tasks, and support warehouse logistics to deliver exceptional service. Responsibilities Operate heavy equipment such as reach trucks, forklifts, cranes, and order pickers to load, unload, and transport goods safely within the warehouse Assist with order picking and packing to ensure accurate and timely fulfillment of customer orders Manage shipping and receiving processes using warehouse management systems like AS400 or similar platforms Load and unload shipments efficiently while adhering to safety protocols for heavy lifting and equipment operation Maintain inventory accuracy through proper documentation and regular stock checks Support manufacturing or construction-related activities by handling heavy materials and equipment as needed Ensure all packaging meets quality standards and prepares items for shipment according to company procedures Qualifications Proven experience working in a warehouse environment with knowledge of warehouse distribution processes Valid certification or experience operating reach trucks, forklifts, cranes, and other heavy equipment Mechanical knowledge related to warehouse machinery and equipment maintenance Familiarity with warehouse management systems such as AS400 or equivalent platforms Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during order fulfillment and load/unload tasks Prior experience in shipping & receiving, order picking, packaging, or manufacturing is highly desirable Construction or heavy equipment operation experience is a plus but not required Join our team to be part of a vibrant workplace where efficiency meets safety!
