Mail Handler Assistant

Job Summary Join our dynamic team as a Mail Handler Assistant, where you will play a vital role in ensuring the efficient processing, sorting, and distribution of mail and packages within our warehouse and distribution center. Your contribution will help maintain timely delivery services and uphold high standards of accuracy and safety. Responsibilities Sort incoming and outgoing mail, parcels, and shipments using manual handling techniques and automatic inserting machines. Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts and RF scanners to load, unload, and transport materials safely within the warehouse. Manage shipment sorting, shipping, and receiving processes with precision to ensure accurate delivery. Perform data entry tasks related to mail distribution, shipment tracking, and inventory updates using Microsoft Office tools. Conduct outdoor work activities including yard checks, fence inspections, and yard audits to maintain security and operational efficiency. Assist with warehouse distribution activities by organizing materials, filing documents, and supporting warehouse operations. Support customer service efforts by addressing inquiries related to mail processing and shipment status while maintaining a professional demeanor. Requirements Previous warehouse experience or familiarity with warehouse operations is highly preferred. Ability to operate material handling equipment such as forklifts, RF scanners, and automatic inserting machines safely. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for accurate mail sorting and data entry. Physical ability to perform heavy lifting, manual handling, load & unload activities regularly. Basic math skills for measuring, counting, and verifying shipments. Outdoor work experience is advantageous for yard inspections and outdoor activities. Excellent communication skills for customer service interactions and team collaboration. Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications for documentation and reporting purposes.
