Mail Handler

Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Mail Handler to join our dynamic logistics team. Responsibilities Sort incoming and outgoing mail and packages using manual handling techniques and automatic inserting machines Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts and material handling tools safely and efficiently Load, unload, and organize shipments in the warehouse or outdoor work areas Perform data entry to track shipments, update inventory records, and maintain accurate mailing logs Assist with shipping & receiving processes, ensuring all items are correctly labeled and documented Maintain organization of filing systems for mail distribution records and shipment documentation Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries related to mail processing or shipment status Ensure compliance with safety protocols during heavy lifting, manual handling, and outdoor work activities Experience Prior warehouse experience or background in materials handling is preferred Familiarity with warehouse operations including shipping & receiving procedures Experience operating material handling equipment such as forklifts is highly desirable; forklift certification is a plus Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in filing, sorting, and data entry tasks Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and handle manual tasks efficiently Basic math skills for measurements, counting, and verifying shipment quantities Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications for record keeping and communication purposes Outdoor work experience is beneficial for handling shipments in various weather conditions Join our team as a Mail Handler to play a crucial role in ensuring the seamless flow of mail and packages.
