Mail Handler

Overview The Mail Handler plays a crucial role in the efficient operation of our distribution center. This position involves the handling, sorting, and processing of mail and packages to ensure timely delivery. The ideal candidate will be organized, detail-oriented, and capable of performing heavy lifting as part of their daily responsibilities. Duties Load and unload mail and packages from delivery trucks and containers. Sort incoming and outgoing mail according to established procedures. Utilize RF scanners to track and manage inventory within the warehouse. Maintain an organized workspace to ensure efficiency in the handling process. Assist in shipping and receiving operations, ensuring all items are accounted for. Operate forklifts safely as needed for transporting heavy items within the facility. File documentation related to shipping and receiving activities accurately. Collaborate with team members to meet daily operational goals. Qualifications Previous experience in a distribution center or warehouse environment is preferred. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail. Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds) regularly. Familiarity with shipping and receiving processes is a plus. Experience operating forklifts is advantageous but not mandatory; training will be provided. Proficiency in using RF scanners for inventory management is desirable. A positive attitude and ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.
