Machinery Mover/Rigger

Position Overview This position will require you to join a small crew and assist with executing moves of all sizes, focusing on industrial manufacturing machinery. The ideal person for this position is one who has a strong background in mechanical skills from past experience with either mechanic work, millwright work or machinery maintenance. Also holding a class A CDL would be very beneficial for this position. Having the ability to think 3 steps ahead, coordinate well and communicate well will allow for fast growth and will bring great value from day one. This position requires a strong back and a strong mind that has a major focus on safety of other team members along with the equipment we handle. The day to day operations change with each job and the ability to have flexible working hours may be required at times. Duties Set up and inspect rigging equipment, including slings, chains shackles, and hooks, to ensure safety and compliance with regulations. Experience with machinery maintenance and repairs Operate forklifts and other heavy equipment to lift, move, and position loads as required. Using skates and dollies. Collaborate with team to plan lifts and moves safely and efficiently . Conduct regular inspections of rigging gear and equipment to maintain safety standards. Maintain a clean and organized work area on the work site to promote safety. Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to minimize risks during operations. Maintenance and repairs on company equipment. Skills and Requirements Proficiency in equipment operation, particularly forklifts and other lifting equipment. Experience with commercial truck driving is a plus. Strong knowledge of rigging techniques and safety practices within a manufacturing environment. Ability to work effectively in a small team-oriented setting while communicating clearly. Physical stamina and strength to handle heavy loads and operate machinery for extended periods. Attention to detail to ensure accuracy in machinery handling and safety. Pass pre-employment drug screening.
