Healthcare GlendaleJob Summary MACHINE OPERATOR - Job Summary: the Machine Operator/Forklift Operator operates a variety of heavy equipment in manufacturing environment under direction of the Plant Manager and/or the Production Supervisors. You’ll keep warehouse operations moving by operating production equipment and lift trucks, handling materials, and supporting accurate order fulfillment. You’ll follow forklift safety protocols and production safety standards while helping maintain an organized, efficient work area. Your impact: Safe, accurate materials handling helps coworkers move orders through the warehouse and ensures shipments are prepared for customers. Responsibilities Operate forklifts, machine operation, troubleshooting Support shipping and receiving, warehouse distribution, and daily warehouse management activities. Operate production machinery, follow safety procedures, and report equipment issues; perform only authorized basic equipment repair. Use basic math to verify quantities and records; follow safe manual handling practices when lifting or moving heavy loads. Experience Warehouse experience, warehouse operations, materials handling, and material handling equipment operation are relevant to this role. Knowledge of forklift safety protocols, Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) requirements, and safety standards in production is valued. Experience with order picking, inventory management, barcode scanning, shipping and receiving, or a warehouse management system is helpful. Experience operating heavy equipment or lift trucks—including a forklift, reach truck, order picker, cherry picker, clamp truck, Hi-Lo, or pallet jack—is preferred. Warehouse supervisor experience and equipment repair skills are nice to have, not required.
