Lumber Yard / Warehouse Worker

We value safety, efficiency, and teamwork to meet our clients' needs. Summary We are seeking a Yard Worker to support daily operations at our lumber yard in Richmond. The Yard Worker will play a vital role in maintaining smooth logistics, stowing railcar cables, fixing lumber packages and maintaining a clean, safe and efficient work environment. A successful candidate will have the opportunity to be trained to operate a forklift, resulting in increased responsibilities and an increase in hourly wage. Responsibilities Prepare railcars for unloading, and stow railcar cables after unloading. Repair and re-wrap lumber packages as needed. Assist in warehouse organization and inventory management. Support shipping and receiving processes to ensure timely deliveries. Maintain safety standards across all operations. Collaborate with team members to optimize workflow. Follow all safety protocols and company policies. Qualifications Proven experience in warehouse operations or construction environment. Mechanical knowledge related to heavy equipment operation. Ability to operate forklifts, cranes, and clamp trucks is an asset. Strong physical stamina for heavy lifting and load handling. Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
