Position Overview Discount Builders Supply is seeking a motivated and dependable Lumber Yard to support daily yard operations and assist in leading our lumber yard team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys physical work, demonstrates strong initiative, and leads by example through excellent customer service and teamwork. Key Responsibilities Pull and fulfill customer orders accurately and efficiently Load, unload, stock, and organize lumber and building materials Assist with inventory management, including ordering stock and cycle counts Delegate tasks and support daily workflow within the lumber yard Deliver exceptional customer service to contractors and homeowners Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment Follow all company safety policies and standard operating procedures Qualifications Prior experience in a lumber yard or warehouse environment with strong inventory management and order fulfillment skills Proficient in materials handling, RF scanner use, forklift and clamp truck operation, and basic math for counting and measuring Knowledge of safety protocols, OSHA standards, and cycle counting; ability to follow safety procedures during heavy lifting and equipment operation Experience with shipping/receiving, loading/unloading, and maintaining an organized, clean workspace; strong attention to detail and teamwork Preferred: warehouse distribution, order picker duties, crane or heavy equipment operation, and supervising experience Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour Benefits: 401(k) 401(k) matching Dental insurance Disability insurance Flexible schedule Health insurance Life insurance On-the-job training Paid sick time Paid time off Paid training Vision insurance Work Location: In person
