Legacy Building SupplyPosition Overview Legacy Building Supply is looking for a dependable, hardworking individual to join our Lumber Building team. This position plays an important role in making sure customer orders and job packages are pulled accurately, loaded properly, and ready when needed. This is a hands-on position that requires operating a forklift throughout the day, handling a wide variety of building materials, unloading incoming freight, and keeping the lumber building clean and organized. We are looking for someone who is a self-starter —someone who sees what needs to be done and takes care of it without needing to be constantly directed. Primary Responsibilities Pull and prepare customer orders and complete job packages. Handle a wide variety of building materials, including: Lumber and treated lumber Doors and windows Siding Insulation Drywall Shingles Plywood and sheet goods Other building materials and accessories Load job packages and orders onto Legacy delivery trucks and trailers. Load customers safely and efficiently when they arrive to pick up materials. Unload incoming freight and supplier deliveries. Check incoming materials and put products away in their proper locations. Operate a forklift safely and efficiently throughout the workday. Keep the lumber building, loading areas, and surrounding work areas clean and organized. Help maintain accurate and organized inventory locations. Take care of equipment and report any maintenance or safety concerns. Assist other team members and departments as needed. Maintain a positive and professional attitude with customers and coworkers. Take ownership of keeping their work area clean and organized. Physical Requirements This is an active, hands-on position. The employee must be able to: Regularly lift and handle building materials. Work on their feet for extended periods. Bend, lift, carry, push, and pull materials as needed. Work in both indoor and outdoor conditions throughout the year. Safely operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment. What Success Looks Like, A successful Lumber Building team member keeps materials organized, pulls orders accurately, gets trucks and customers loaded efficiently, and keeps the work area clean and safe. Most importantly, we are looking for someone who takes ownership of their area, sees what needs to be done, and gets it done.
