Job Overview Join our dynamic team as a Luggage Delivery-Last Mile driver, where you will be the final link in delivering exceptional service to our customers. You’ll be responsible for transporting luggage efficiently using your personal vehicle, adhering to traffic regulations, and providing outstanding customer service. Responsibilities Safely operate your personal vehicle to deliver luggage to customers’ locations across designated routes Load and unload luggage using manual handling techniques and material handling equipment such as pallet jacks or carts Adhere strictly to regulations and traffic laws during all driving activities as well as pass a criminal and driving background check Ensure accurate route driving by following GPS directions and company protocols for timely deliveries Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers professionally, answering questions, and ensuring a positive delivery experience Conduct safety checks on your vehicle before your sweep, maintaining compliance with safe lifting practices and heavy lifting procedures Maintain detailed delivery logs using mobile devices, documenting all pickups, drop-offs, and any issues encountered during routes Requirements Proven experience in delivery driving, courier services, involving manual handling and moving luggage often 50 lbs but not limited to that Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; enclement weather experience required Knowledgeable lifting techniques, and safe lifting practices in accordance with workplace weight handling standards Knowledge of road systems in and out of Anchorage from as far north as Healy, south to Homer and, southwest to Valdez Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively and professionally with passengers Comfortable using mobile devices for route navigation, delivery documentation, and communication purposes Reliable All Wheel Drive vehicle with a capacity large enough for multiple pieces of luggage Smartphone with reliable coverage We offer very competitive rates for delivery and they are based on zones originating from Ted Stevens Intl Airport.
