LTL Operations Support
Sunset Transportation LLCAbout the Role As an Operations Support, LTL team member, you will play a critical role in ensuring freight moves smoothly from pickup to delivery. You will provide shipment visibility, maintain accurate transportation records, and proactively monitor freight activity to help deliver an exceptional customer experience. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys problem solving, working in a fast-paced environment, and communicating with carriers and internal teams to keep shipments on track. You'll gain hands-on exposure to transportation operations while developing industry knowledge and building a strong foundation for growth within the logistics industry. What Will You Do? Monitor and track LTL shipments from pickup through final delivery, ensuring freight remains on schedule and customers receive accurate shipment visibility. Communicate with carriers to confirm pickup appointments, obtain tracking information, and proactively gather updates on delayed shipments. Coordinate solutions for missed pickups, service interruptions, and transportation issues to minimize disruptions and maintain service excellence. Maintain accurate shipment documentation and update transportation management systems with timely and detailed notes. Work closely with operations teams, carriers, drivers, and customers to communicate shipment changes and resolve issues quickly. Assist with driver concerns at shipping and receiving locations while providing support throughout the transportation process. Identify potential service failures, escalate exceptions when necessary, and help drive solutions that exceed customer expectations. Report overages, shortages, damages, and other shipment-related issues while ensuring all stakeholders remain informed throughout the process.
