Lowboy Truck Driver (Class A CDL)

R.E. Pierson Construction Co., Inc. Location: Pilesgrove, NJ (Shop/Office Start Location) Territory : New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Delaware, and Maryland Experience Required: Minimum 5 Years R.E. Pierson Construction is seeking an experienced Lowboy Truck Driver with a valid Class A CDL to support our heavy highway and heavy civil construction operations. This position is responsible for safely transporting heavy equipment, machinery, and construction materials to and from active job sites throughout New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Delaware, and Maryland. Important - Drivers must be experienced in hauling heavy equipment using lowboy, drop-deck, flat-deck, and beam trailers. Key Responsibilities Safely operate Class A commercial trucks and various heavy-haul trailers. Transport heavy construction equipment, machinery, and materials between company facilities and active job sites. Load, secure, transport, and unload equipment in accordance with all applicable safety regulations and DOT requirements. Inspect trucks, trailers, loads, tie-downs, and securement equipment before and during transportation. Safely maneuver equipment and trailers in tight spaces and active construction zones. Coordinate with field personnel, supervisors, and equipment operators to ensure timely deliveries and pickups. Complete required driver logs, inspection reports, and other transportation paperwork. Maintain vehicles and equipment in a clean, safe, and professional condition. Follow all company safety policies, traffic laws, and applicable state and federal transportation regulations. Qualifications Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL). Minimum of 5 years of commercial driving experience, preferably in construction or heavy equipment transportation. Demonstrated experience operating lowboy, drop-deck, flat-deck, and beam trailers. Strong knowledge of load securement, weight distribution, and heavy equipment transportation procedures. Familiarity with DOT regulations, vehicle inspections, and safe driving practices. Ability to work safely around heavy equipment and active construction sites. Dependable, safety-conscious, and able to work independently. Willingness to travel to job sites throughout NJ, PA, DE, and MD.
