Lot Worker / Laborer/Tow Truck Driver/Rollback Driver

Hound Dog's Towing & Recovery is hiring a Lot Worker for our impound yard on the south side of Columbus. Vehicles come in and out of the lot all day, and this job is what keeps the yard organized, the trucks clean, and the drivers and mechanics supported. No towing experience needed. We will train you. What you'll do Move and organize impound and customer vehicles around the lot Photograph vehicles as they arrive and log them into the lot inventory Track every vehicle that leaves the lot (release, scrap pickup, transfer) and report it to dispatch so the records stay accurate Process scrap cars: pull the VIN, complete the scrap paperwork, remove usable parts as directed, and stage vehicles for pickup Install, replace and check towing signs on the private properties we service Clean trucks, the shop and the yard Help drivers and mechanics with bigger jobs when needed Learn the front counter so you can release a vehicle to its owner when the office is busy What we're looking for Valid driver's license (you will be moving vehicles around the lot) Able to lift 50+ lbs and stay on your feet through a shift Able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check Dependable. The lot runs on you showing up Organized and willing to keep records straight on a phone or tablet Comfortable working outdoors in all weather Experience with hand tools, scrap prep, or basic auto work is a plus.
