Responsibilities Develop and execute detailed load plans for longhaul freight shipments, maximizing vehicle capacity and efficiency. Utilize transportation management systems (TMS) and SyteLine to schedule, track, and manage shipments from origin to destination. Coordinate with 3PL providers, carriers, and internal teams to ensure timely pickup and delivery of freight. Enter and update shipment data accurately within shipping & receiving systems, maintaining comprehensive records. Analyze shipping data to identify opportunities for process improvements, cost savings, and operational efficiencies. Communicate effectively with drivers, warehouse staff, and clients via multi-line phone systems while maintaining professional phone etiquette. Monitor shipment statuses regularly, troubleshoot issues proactively, and adjust plans as needed to meet delivery deadlines. Support shipping & receiving activities by verifying documentation, managing freight schedules, and ensuring compliance with safety standards. Experience Proven experience working with transportation management systems (TMS), AS400 or similar enterprise resource planning (ERP) platforms. Strong understanding of supply chain logistics, freight operations, and third-party logistics (3PL) coordination. Demonstrated data entry accuracy coupled with excellent analysis skills to interpret shipping data effectively. Familiarity with shipping & receiving procedures along with proficiency in using SyteLine or comparable systems. Exceptional communication skills paired with professional phone etiquette in multi-line phone system environments. Ability to perform detailed analysis of freight movements to optimize load planning strategies. Prior experience in a fast-paced logistics or supply chain environment is highly desirable.
