Logistics & Warehouse Coordinator
kabar Industries Ltd.We are seeking a dependable, organized, and hands-on Logistics & Warehouse Coordinator to support our transportation, warehouse, inventory, order-processing, and customer-service activities. This is a varied role combining office-based coordination with practical warehouse duties. The successful candidate will be comfortable moving between scheduling and administrative responsibilities and working directly with products in the warehouse. Key Responsibilities Transportation and delivery coordination Plan efficient daily and weekly truck routes. Schedule customer deliveries, supplier pickups, and freight movements. Coordinate schedules with drivers, customers, suppliers, warehouse staff, and carriers. Confirm delivery requirements, appointment times, addresses, quantities, and special instructions. Monitor scheduled pickups and deliveries and communicate delays or changes promptly. Prepare and maintain shipping documents, delivery records, bills of lading, and related paperwork. Help consolidate shipments and routes to improve vehicle utilization and control freight costs. Warehouse and order fulfillment Pick, verify, pack, stage, and prepare customer orders for shipment or pickup. Confirm that product numbers, quantities, and documentation agree with customer orders. Assist with receiving incoming materials and checking shipments for shortages, damage, or discrepancies. Maintain an orderly, clean, and safe warehouse. Organize products and storage locations to improve space utilization and picking efficiency. Assist with loading and unloading trucks using appropriate material-handling equipment. Follow company health and safety procedures at all times. Inventory control Record inventory receipts, transfers, adjustments, and shipments accurately. Perform cycle counts and assist with periodic physical inventories. Investigate and report inventory discrepancies. Maintain accurate bin locations and product identification. Identify low-stock items, misplaced products, and other potential inventory concerns. Support improvements to inventory accuracy and warehouse procedures. Order entry and administrative support Enter customer orders accurately and promptly into the company’s order-management system. Review orders for product numbers, quantities, shipping instructions, pricing, and required delivery dates. Prepare packing slips, shipping labels, and other order documentation. Maintain organized electronic and paper records. Respond professionally to routine customer, supplier, carrier, and internal inquiries. Provide general office and warehouse assistance as operational needs require. Qualifications Previous experience in logistics, transportation coordination, warehousing, shipping and receiving, inventory control, or a similar role. Experience planning truck routes or scheduling pickups and deliveries is strongly preferred. Strong organizational, prioritization, and problem-solving abilities. Careful attention to detail, particularly when entering orders and handling inventory. Comfortable using Microsoft Outlook and Excel; experience with ERP, inventory, order-entry, routing, or warehouse-management software is an asset. Clear and professional verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work independently while cooperating with drivers, warehouse employees, office staff, customers, and suppliers. Valid Ontario driver’s licence is an asset. Forklift certification or previous material-handling-equipment experience is an asset. Knowledge of the Greater Toronto Area and surrounding delivery regions is an asset. Physical and Working Requirements Ability to work both in an office and warehouse environment. Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform repetitive warehouse tasks. Ability to safely lift and move items weighing up to 50 lb.
