We are currently searching for a Logistics team member to add to our energetic and fun team. The ideal candidate has high energy, is extremely reliable, likes to keep their workspace organized, and has a positive attitude. We focus on taking care of our team. You must be a self-starter, a good communicator, have a meticulous eye for detail, and love working with a team. We are looking for new team members who are smart, dependable and solution-oriented. The core function of this position involves warehouse activities such as pulling and moving furniture, loading our box trucks, putting away décor items, hanging art, and going out on jobs to help transport furnishings between the warehouse and the homes we stage. This position involves moving furniture and other warehouse projects such as furniture audits. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs regularly, up to 75 lbs occasionally, and up to 100 lbs rarely. The logistics team is always in motion, and this position entails a fair amount of walking, bending, and lifting. A typical day would involve helping load furniture onto our truck, going out on a route, delivering furniture and installing it, and then locating, inspecting, and pulling furniture for the next day. We make the most of downtime. Our crew is pulling, inspecting, doing audits, and repairing furniture in any downtime, organizing the warehouse, ordering necessary supplies, help our logistics department prepare for the busy weeks ahead. We are a small business, so every day is a little bit different. We always start and end our days at the warehouse. Our jobs are all over Houston and the surrounding areas, so you will be in a different part of town each day. You may be at a home in Clearlake one day and in the penthouse at a residential tower downtown the next. We have a great team of intelligent, motivated people from very different backgrounds. Everyone brings different ideas to the table and is always willing to roll up their sleeves and help out. That is what has helped us form such a great team! Schedule and Pay: Part-time, contract work available, as well as full time.
