Full Job Description Are you an ambitious logistics professional looking to make the leap from a high-stress freight forwarding agency to an exciting, in-house corporate role? Foster Display Group creates custom trade show exhibits and branded environments for clients across the country. Behind every successful event is a carefully coordinated logistics plan—and we’re looking for someone who can help keep ours moving. We are seeking an organized, proactive Logistics & Transportation Coordinator to manage domestic shipments between our facilities, vendors, and event venues. You’ll coordinate carriers, track freight, maintain accurate documentation, and work closely with our warehouse, project management, and on-site teams to ensure every shipment arrives where it belongs, when it’s needed. If you’ve built a strong foundation in freight forwarding, transportation, or third-party logistics and want to take greater ownership within a growing company, this is an opportunity to see your work come to life on the show floor. What You’ll Do Coordinate domestic transportation: Plan, schedule, and track full truckload (FTL), less-than-truckload (LTL), small parcel, and courier shipments, including deliveries to shows and return shipments to our facilities. Manage trade show shipping requirements: Coordinate deliveries to advance warehouses and event venues, accounting for target move-in windows, marshaling procedures, venue restrictions, and outbound deadlines. Support shows on-site: Travel to select trade shows to serve as Foster’s on-site transportation point person. Quarterback inbound and outbound shipments for multiple client booths at the same event, coordinating with drivers, dispatchers, show contractors, and our installation and dismantle teams. Build clear shipping plans: Work with project managers and warehouse teams to confirm shipment contents, destinations, loading schedules, truck requirements, and delivery priorities. Manage carrier relationships and costs: Work with our preferred freight partner and other transportation providers to obtain quotes, confirm capacity, schedule pickups, and identify opportunities to consolidate shipments and control costs. Maintain accurate documentation: Prepare, review, and organize bills of lading, shipping labels, carrier confirmations, delivery receipts, outbound show paperwork, and shipment tracking records. Keep teams informed: Maintain a clear view of shipment status and communicate updates, delays, and changes so warehouse and on-site teams can plan accordingly. Resolve shipping issues: Respond quickly to missed pickups, delayed trucks, freight discrepancies, and changing show schedules. Take ownership of finding solutions and keeping the right people informed. Manage shipping accounts: Oversee day-to-day use of Foster’s FedEx, UPS, DHL, courier, and LTL accounts, including scheduling, tracking, and service issue resolution. What We’re Looking For 1–3 years of relevant experience in freight forwarding, third-party logistics, transportation coordination, or a similar role. Working knowledge of domestic freight operations, particularly FTL and LTL shipping. Strong organization and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple shipments, projects, and deadlines simultaneously. Clear, professional communication with drivers, dispatchers, vendors, warehouse teams, project managers, and show personnel. A calm, practical approach to problem-solving when schedules change or issues arise. Comfort using shipping portals, transportation management systems, spreadsheets, and shipment tracking tools. A proactive mindset and willingness to follow through from the initial shipping plan through final delivery and return. Preferred: Experience with trade show or event logistics, including advance warehouses, marshaling yards, targeted freight deliveries, and outbound material handling agreements.
