Collegiate School seeks a Logistics Technician to be responsible for the School’s logistical requirements. The Logistics Technician plays a crucial role in supporting daily campus and facility operations through the efficient setup, execution, and breakdown of events, meetings, and special functions. This role is primarily focused on physical event coordination—moving and arranging furniture, equipment, and event assets accurately and on schedule according to organizer specifications. Working both collaboratively within a team and independently, the Logistics Technician ensures event spaces are ready, safe, and configured to high standards, while providing essential custodial support when needed. This is a full-time benefitted position, 12-month position reporting directly to the Logistics and Custodial Supervisor. General Responsibilities include: · Executing timely setups and breakdowns for all scheduled events, meetings, and functions according to provided diagrams and organizer specifications. · Safely moving, arranging, and storing event furniture and equipment, including tables, chairs, staging, and podiums, with high attention to detail. · Partnering with event organizers and facility supervisors to make real-time adjustments or last-minute accommodations as needed. · Inspecting event spaces before and after functions to ensure layout accuracy, safety, and cleanliness. · Performing general custodial and maintenance duties to support overall facility cleanliness and operational readiness, filling in where needed across campus buildings. · Assisting with internal moves, delivery distribution, and asset/inventory transport across facilities. · Reporting facility maintenance needs, damage, or safety hazards to leadership promptly. Successful candidates will possess the following qualifications and competencies: · 3 years of experience in at least one of the following areas: logistics, moving, transportation, package/mail delivery. · Ability to use a computer/electronic tablet. · Ability to be pro-active, and demonstrate effective use of time. · Excellent reading, writing and oral comprehension skills required. Specifically; the ability to read manuals and follow safety instructions. · Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including required evening and weekend hours based on event scheduling. · Excellent verbal communication and listening skills. · Ability to follow oral and written instructions. · Self -Starter · High School Diploma. · A valid Virginia driver's license and the ability to meet Collegiate School’s driving criteria. Physical Requirements: · Manual coordination including finger dexterity, eye/hand/foot coordination, able to distinguish between colors, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crawling, reaching, handling, feeling, depth perception and hearing. · Must be able to walk the campuses regularly, lift, lower, carry, push and pull objects up to 50 lbs. unassisted. · Must be able to stand, climb, bend, stoop and crouch for extended periods of time. · May be subjected to extreme heat and cold temperatures. · Will be subjected to motor and/or machine noise.
