Explore your next role:

As a key member of the Supply Management team, the LSS Lead Hand will report to the LSS Manager and lead and coordinate Logistic Support Services (LSS) operations, providing oversight and guidance to the LSS Specialist and LSS Shipping Coordinator, ensuring timely, compliant, and cost-effective management of parts movement, inventory, and shipping across all LMBs/TLMBs. 

Team Leadership and Oversight 

  • Provide guidance, support, and supervision to LSS Specialist and Shipping Coordinator. 
  • Assign tasks, review work, and ensure adherence to company procedures, policies, and safety standards. 
  • Conduct performance monitoring and support professional development.
  • Lead departmental meetings and daily coordination sessions with Material Control and field teams. 

Parts Movement and Logistics Coordination 

  • Oversee critical parts requirements for LMBs/TLMBs, ensuring timely procurement, shipping, and delivery. 
  • Coordinate between field maintenance, procurement, shipping vendors, and management to resolve urgent or complex issues. 
  • Monitor inventory, track orders, and ensure timely updates to electronic systems. 
  • Recommend process improvements in shipping, receiving, and material handling procedures. 

Reporting and Analysis, Safety, Compliance, and Quality 

  • Prepare and review operational and management reports related to parts movement, shipping costs, and AOG activity. 
  • Track key performance metrics and identify trends to improve service delivery and efficiency. 
  • Ensure all team members maintain compliance with Dangerous Goods, WHMIS, and other safety certifications. 
  • Participate in audits, investigations, and safety reviews. 
  • Review shipping and inventory documentation for accuracy and regulatory compliance. 

Your Distinctive Ingredients for Success:

  • 1–2 years of experience in aviation logistics, inventory, or parts management
  • High school diploma required; post-secondary education in logistics, supply chain, or aviation maintenance is an asset
  • Dangerous Goods and WHMIS certifications required
  • Knowledge of shipping practices, documentation, and international/customs regulations
  • Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., WinAir) and Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word)
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks, make decisions under pressure, and support team operations
  • Experience with vendor coordination and procurement processes is an asset

You must be legally eligible to work for a Canadian company (e.g., be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident of Canada, or possess a valid work permit) and provide a clear Criminal Background Check.

  • This position starts at $26.00/hour (plus a $2.00 lead premium), with compensation commensurate with experience.
