Logistics Support Specialist

Our Houston team is hiring a Logistics Support Specialist to help keep shipments on schedule and information accurate. When a pickup time changes or a delivery document is missing, several people need a reliable update. You’ll be the person who checks the facts, updates the record, and helps the team decide what needs attention next. Your day in the operation Review scheduled pickups and deliveries, checking order details, addresses, and appointment times. Track shipments and follow up with carriers, suppliers, and internal teams for current status. Update shipping records so colleagues can see accurate ETAs and changes. Check bills of lading, packing lists, and proof of delivery for missing or inconsistent information. Flag delays, shortages, or damage promptly and help the logistics lead gather the details needed to resolve them. Summarize recurring issues so the team can improve its delivery process. A clear path to more responsibility We’ll train you on our shipment process, documentation, and tracking systems. You’ll begin with routine updates and supervised follow-ups. As your accuracy and judgment develop, you can take ownership of a regular group of shipments, handle more complex exceptions, and contribute to transport planning and process improvements. We’ll discuss your progress with you regularly and help you work toward broader logistics and supply chain responsibilities. What you’ll bring You’re organized, careful with records, and comfortable asking a precise question when information is unclear. Experience with inventory, dispatch, shipping, or a busy operations team is useful, but previous logistics experience isn’t required.
