Logistics Supervisor
Wire Products Company, Inc.Logistics Manager Immediate opening full-time position for an experienced Logistic Manager for a well established family owned company on the west side of Cleveland. We are searching for a motivated, energetic, knowledgeable Logistics Manager who is comfortable working in a fast paced manufacturing environment with many responsibilities. The Logistics Manager plans, directs, and optimizes inbound raw materials and outbound finished goods. They oversee warehouse operations, inventory control, shipping and receiving, and freight transport to ensure production lines stay supplied and customers receive orders safely, on time, and within budget. Core Responsibilities Warehouse & Inventory Control: Direct receiving, storage, cycle counts, and material flow. Maintain accurate stock levels in ERP/MRP systems and resolve discrepancies. Transportation & Shipping: Manage inbound and outbound freight. Negotiate carrier contracts, optimize delivery routes, and monitor vendor performance. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with production planning, procurement, and customer service to align material availability with factory output. Team Leadership: Supervise, mentor, and schedule warehouse and shipping staff. Directs the focus of the sorting, assembly and packing associates. Compliance & Safety: Ensure adherence to OSHA, DOT, and local environmental or material safety regulations. Assist in maintaining the Quality System Policies and Procedures. Continuous Improvement: Apply Lean manufacturing or Six Sigma methods to reduce waste and cut freight or storage costs. Requirements & Qualifications Education: Prefer Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations, or Business. Experience: 3 to 10 years of progressive supply chain or warehouse experience in a manufacturing environment, including 2+ years in a supervisory role. Technical Skills: Strong proficiency with ERP systems, Warehouse/Transportation Management Systems (WMS/TMS) and Microsoft (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) Key Competencies: Carrier contract negotiation, data analysis, budgeting, and problem-solving under tight production deadlines.
