Logistics Supervisor

About Us: Natural Stone Resources imports premium natural stone from around the world and sells exclusively through authorized distributors across North America. Job Title: Logistics Supervisor Description: We are looking for an experienced logistics professional to take full ownership of logistics at NSR. This role is the single point of accountability for everything that moves, from incoming international ocean freight to domestic outbound delivery and warehousing coordination. The Logistics Supervisor will run day-to-day shipment tracking and coordination, lead our domestic logistics staff, and work closely with our Operations, Purchasing, and Sales Support teams to keep product flowing on schedule. We are looking for someone who can step into a growing operation, organize it, and own the results. Key Responsibilities: International Logistics Track inbound ocean and air freight from origin to final delivery, and keep estimated arrival dates (ETAs) current in company systems and the in-transit tracking spreadsheet. Review and process arrival notices and delivery orders for accuracy, and confirm delivery locations for every incoming container. Coordinate with freight forwarders, customs brokers, trucking companies and dispatch to move containers through clearance and delivery. Communicate container, vessel and shipment status updates to internal teams, and notify staff when shipments arrive. Resolve shipping delay issues, delivery issues, demurrage and per-diem disputes. Domestic Logistics Own outbound and domestic freight, including requesting, comparing and booking LTL and truckload quotes. Lead the domestic logistics function and the staff who support it, setting priorities and ensuring deliveries go out accurately and on time. Warehousing Review, approve or dispute third-party warehouse invoices for our Atlanta warehouse, including storage, inbound and outbound handling, and value-added services. Partner with Operations on warehouse receiving and delivery coordination. Ownership of the Function Serve as NSR's single point of accountability for all logistics questions, issues and decisions. Maintain accurate logistics documentation, shipment records and data. Build and improve the processes, reports and communication that keep logistics running consistently. Qualifications: 7+ years of professional logistics experience covering both international import and domestic freight. Hands-on experience managing ocean freight, air freight, LTL and truckload shipments from origin to final delivery. Working knowledge of import documentation, including arrival notices and delivery orders, and experience resolving demurrage and per-diem disputes. Experience coordinating daily with freight forwarders, customs brokers, trucking companies and third-party warehouses. Experience supervising or leading logistics staff. Strong Microsoft Excel and Outlook skills; experience with Stone Profit System is a plus. Highly organized, detail-oriented and able to manage many shipments and deadlines at once. Experience in natural stone, tile, flooring or building materials preferred. Bilingual English/Spanish preferred but not required.
