Company & Position Overview A founder-led, privately held U.S. home decor design and manufacturing company. It sells through major retail, e-commerce marketplaces, direct-to-consumer, wholesale, and hospitality channels, with a global supplier base concentrated in Asia. Lean team, fast-paced, high ownership. Position Overview Our client is hiring a Logistics Supervisor to own end-to-end logistics execution for imports from Asia into the U.S., plus domestic routing and 3PL coordination. S/he will be a senior individual contributor with no direct reports. Key Responsibilities The company's logistics subject matter expert, accountable for getting product from factory to customer on time and at the right cost. International shipments: PO follow-up, container bookings, freight forwarder coordination, ETD/ETA tracking, shipping documents, container pickup and delivery. Freight cost: Rate negotiation with forwarders, freight cost tracking, mode and routing recommendations, tariff and landed-cost review in support of gross margin. Factory costs and payments: Review factory pro forma invoices, maintain cost data in our ERP, track factory payments. New retail account setup: Collect and operationalize routing guides, labeling, packaging, ASN, EDI, and vendor portal requirements so first orders ship clean. Domestic and 3PL: Process and route domestic orders, monitor stock program inventory, manage 3PL partners and approve their invoices. Process: Document logistics SOPs and improve workflows. Measured on: on-time delivery, booking accuracy, shipment visibility, container utilization, freight cost, retailer compliance, inventory accuracy, and payment accuracy. Candidate profile Must-haves 5+ years of hands-on logistics execution for ocean imports from Asia into the U.S. (bookings, forwarders, documentation, container tracking). Proven freight rate negotiation and cost tracking, including tariffs and landed cost. Experience shipping to major U.S. retailers: routing guides, labeling, ASN, EDI or vendor portals, chargeback avoidance. Domestic order routing and 3PL management, including invoice review. Fluent professional English, written and spoken. Able to overlap several hours daily with U.S. Eastern time. Strong Excel and ERP skills; comfortable owning data accuracy.
