Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Logistics Specialist to join our supply chain operations team. In this role, you will be at the forefront of managing and optimizing our logistics processes, ensuring seamless coordination across warehouse distribution, transportation management, and inventory control. Your expertise will drive process improvements, enhance vendor relationships, and support efficient order fulfillment. Duties Coordinate transportation planning and freight management using transportation management systems (TMS) and ERP platforms such as SAP or AS400.. Maintain strong vendor management relationships through effective communication and performance monitoring. Perform detailed Data Entry into our TMS to ensure precise transfers from customer load tenders, revisions and requests. Assist with scheduling pick up and delivery appointments, case count verifications and product availability. Assist with call flow and customer service functions with customers, shippers, recievers and carriers. Track and trace shipments to ensure timely OTD status as well as keep all parties informed of status, delays, dilemmas, etc as well as report and assist with problems while, in-transit loading or unloading shipments. Requirements Proven experience practicing in a supply chain operations role with extensive warehouse experience including inventory control and warehouse management systems. Strong data analysis skills with proficiency in SQL, Excel spreadsheets, and data visualization tools like Tableau. Familiarity with transportation management systems (TMS), ERP systems such as SAP or AS400, and warehouse management systems (WMS). Experience with the transportation of fresh produce and perishables is a major plus. Knowledge of procurement processes including sourcing, purchasing, vendor management, and freight logistics. Ability to perform root cause analysis to resolve supply chain issues effectively while implementing process improvements. Excellent communication skills for cross-functional collaboration in logistics management, customer service, and supplier negotiations.
