Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Logistics Specialist to join our supply chain operations team. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating and optimizing the movement of goods, managing warehouse distribution activities, and ensuring seamless procurement and transportation processes. Your expertise will help improve supply chain efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance overall customer satisfaction. Responsibilities Oversee warehouse operations including inventory management, stocking, shipping & receiving, and materials handling to ensure accuracy and efficiency. Coordinate transportation planning using transportation management systems (TMS) and manage freight logistics, including NVOCC (Non-Vessel Operating Common Carrier) activities. Utilize data analysis tools such as Tableau, SQL, Excel, and ERP systems like AS400 or SAP to collect, analyze, and report supply chain metrics for process improvement initiatives. Manage procurement activities including sourcing vendors, negotiating pricing and terms, and category management to optimize costs and supplier relationships. Conduct root cause analysis for supply chain disruptions or inefficiencies, implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence. Collaborate cross-functionally with production planning, demand planning, customer service, and warehouse teams to streamline order fulfillment and inventory control. Ensure compliance with international trade regulations and trade compliance standards while managing import/export documentation. Qualifications Proven experience practicing in a supply chain operations role with strong understanding of warehouse management systems (WMS), inventory management systems, and transportation management systems (TMS). Demonstrated proficiency in data collection, analysis skills, spreadsheets, Excel data analysis, SQL, and Microsoft Office suite. Hands-on warehouse experience including materials handling, manual handling procedures, forklift operation (certification preferred), and shipping & receiving processes. Knowledge of procurement processes such as sourcing, vendor management, pricing strategies, demand planning, freight management, and trade compliance. Familiarity with ERP systems like AS400 or similar platforms used for inventory control and supply chain analytics. Excellent communication skills for cross-functional collaboration and customer service orientation.
