Role Description The Logistics Specialist is a full-time, on-site role based in Grand Prairie, TX, responsible for coordinating the movement, storage, and documentation of raw materials and finished goods. Day-to-day tasks include managing inbound and outbound shipments, maintaining accurate inventory records, and ensuring materials are available to support production schedules. The role involves working closely with suppliers, carriers, and internal teams to optimize freight, resolve delivery issues, and support on-time order fulfillment. The Logistics Specialist will update and monitor logistics systems, prepare shipping and receiving documentation, and follow safety and compliance procedures. This position requires hands-on work in a manufacturing environment, including regular interaction with the warehouse, production, and quality teams. Qualifications Strong skills in inventory control, warehouse coordination, and materials handling in a manufacturing or distribution environment. Experience with shipment planning, carrier coordination, and freight documentation using transportation or logistics software. Proficiency in data entry, recordkeeping, and basic ERP or inventory management systems, with solid attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to interpret and follow safety, compliance, and quality procedures, including handling regulated or age-restricted products. Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with production, purchasing, and vendor partners. Strong organizational and time-management abilities to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting. High school diploma or equivalent required; additional coursework or certification in logistics, supply chain, or related field is preferred. Prior experience in manufacturing, consumer products, or a similar operational environment is beneficial. Capability to perform physical tasks such as standing, lifting, and moving materials in a warehouse or production setting, with adherence to ergonomic and safety guidelines.
