Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Logistics Specialist to join our supply chain operations team. In this role, you will be instrumental in coordinating and optimizing the movement, storage, and distribution of goods across various channels. Your expertise will ensure seamless logistics processes, enhance supply chain efficiency, and support our commitment to delivering exceptional service. Responsibilities Manage warehouse distribution activities, including inventory control, stocking, and materials handling to ensure accurate stock levels and efficient warehouse operations. Oversee transportation management systems (TMS) and warehouse management systems (WMS) to streamline shipping logistics, freight coordination, and order fulfillment processes. Conduct data collection and analysis using tools like Excel, SQL, Tableau, and ERP systems such as AS400 or similar platforms to identify process improvements and root cause analysis for supply chain issues. Coordinate procurement activities including sourcing suppliers, negotiating contracts, managing vendor relationships, and overseeing purchasing processes aligned with demand planning and category management strategies. Plan transportation routes and schedules utilizing transportation planning systems to optimize freight costs while ensuring timely delivery. Collaborate cross-functionally with customer service, production planning, sourcing teams, and external partners such as 3PL providers or NVOCCs to facilitate smooth supply chain operations. Ensure compliance with international trade regulations and trade compliance standards while managing import/export documentation for global shipments. Requirements Proven experience practicing in a supply chain operations role with a strong understanding of warehouse experience, inventory management systems, and shipping & receiving procedures. Proficiency in data analysis skills including Excel data analysis, SQL queries, and familiarity with Tableau for reporting insights. Hands-on experience with warehouse management systems (WMS), transportation management systems (TMS), ERP platforms like AS400 or similar, and inventory management software. Ability to perform root cause analysis and implement process improvements within logistics workflows. Strong negotiation skills for vendor management, procurement negotiations, and contract management. Valid forklift certification or ability to obtain one; manual handling experience is a plus. Excellent communication skills for effective cross-functional collaboration and customer service excellence. Knowledge of international trade regulations, freight forwarding processes (including NVOCC), and trade compliance standards is preferred.
