Logistics Specialist

A. JOB SUMMARY The Logistics Representative (LR) is responsible for executing shipping processes. The LR should adhere to the Systemax Core Values when exercising all methods of communication. B*. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES*. · Participates in the shipping process and order fulfillment. · Pack and prepare orders for shipment accurately and efficiently. · Prepare shipping documents · Obtain freight quotes · Create packing labels · Schedule outgoing shipments with freight companies · Ensure that Quality Control Issues are handled efficiently and effectively. · Ensure Department is clean and organized · Capable of operating forklifts and other equipment to move heavy objects · Demonstrates awareness of proper warehouse safety procedures · Team Collaboration: Work closely with team members to achieve operational goals and support overall warehouse functions. · Works productively with little supervision AS NEEDED: · Accepts and signs for deliveries · Assists in unloading and loading shipments from delivery truck · Open boxes and inspects contents of shipments · Checks shipping invoice to ensure all items are accounted for · Stores, restocks, and shelves delivered items as necessary · Help with other duties as assigned SYSTEMAX CORE VALUES: · Determination: We get the job done, no matter what! · Humility: We value our team’s goals and prioritize collective wins over individual ones. · Act with Integrity: We’re honest, transparent, and committed to doing what’s best for our customers and our company. · Positive Attitude: We believe in “can” versus “cannot”. · Balance: We consider the needs of our client and the needs of our company. Job Requirements QUALIFICATIONS: · Ability to lift 50lbs +, stand, walk, lift, reach, twist, turn, bend, stop and walk for up to 10 hours per day. · Forklift and equipment experience to move heavy loads. · 1 year plus of warehouse experience required. · Proficient in Microsoft Office business applications, as well as general computer skills · Knowledge of FedEx, UPS and freight companies. · Good time management is required · Communication skills, verbal and written · Critical thinking and problem-solving ability · Ability to effectively manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously · Prioritizes and organizes own work to meet agreed upon deadlines · Possess good judgment and attention to detail · Energetic and positive attitude · Valid Driver's License and insurable.
