Logistics Specialist

Position Role and Responsibilities: Communicates with shipping floor on any updates to schedule Processes orders according to customer guidelines Coordinates shipping schedules to meet department and customer requirements. Continuous, daily communication with carriers regarding pickups Collects daily and weekly customer data Assists customer service department Maintains worked hours for shipping personnel and provides communication to department leaders Performs other related duties as required. Essential Functions: Must be able to multi-task in an organized fashion. Must be able to work in fast paced environment. Must be able to communicate with others in a professional manner. Must be able to work independently and as a member of a team. Attention to detail required. General filing required. Must be able to operate a 10-key calculator. Must be able to compose letters. Required Experience: High school diploma or equivalent required SAP experience is a strongly desired Experience with Microsoft Office including Excel, Outlook, and Word Prior experience in a shipping or logistics support position Requires interpersonal skills, effective oral and written communication skills, and computer literacy.
